The Characters

Gydeon Greyfrost
Gydeon is an aristocratic elf from a wealthy bloodline of draconic sorcerors. Her home city, Silverscale, is located high among the snow and ice of the Xutlong Peaks and is a shadow of its former glory. Gydeon’s driving force is to pursue knowledge of all kinds, and she doesn’t give a damn about interpersonal relationships.

Tonreir Ceni
Tonreir is an aloof half-elf druid. His intentions often shrouded, he works on bettering the land and ensuring its survival. He maintains a rather stoic presence, which has been molded over the years by callusing experiences. His owl companion Rul’Thuin is always nearby, whether others are aware of it or not.

Iria Clawstrike
Iria is a wandering catfolk bard who plays the hang drum, and sometimes hits people with it. Her idealism and tendency to rush headlong into situations often gets her into trouble. She’s motivated by love, and is on a musical quest to find recognition, gold and maybe a soulmate or two along the way.

Wingthe Faldrum
Wingthe is a human fighter and adventurer. She grew up alone on hard streets, cut her teeth in a band of mercenaries and is now fulfilling her dream to see the wonders of the world. She values personal freedom, loves a good scrap, and cares about money only as far as it buys her freedom.

Rihva Ashren
Rihva is a kayal — a descendant of humans trapped in the Shadow Plane — with an obscure past. Her solution to any problem is to bluff her way out, and if all else fails, to stab it and vanish. An opportunist and schemer who acts before she thinks, she’s on the run from some sort of debt.

The Cast

Kazz Baloo (she/her)
Kazz plays Gydeon on Bad Heroes. She enjoys solving puzzles of all types, going on adventures with her rescue Chowba, Oso Baloo, and baking. Having recently taken on swing dancing and learning the ukulele, her day to day life is unpredictable. A calendar could probably help her… if it ever got used.

Koulnis (he/him)
Koulnis plays Tonreir on Bad Heroes. He is very much a traveling man, a real-life Viking and mild musician! He enjoys experiencing other cultures, seeing new corners of the globe, doing (legal) Viking things and sleeping!

Rev Winter (he/they)
Rev plays Iria on Bad Heroes. He’s currently testing his sanity by working and going to graduate school at the same time. In their spare time, they enjoy dragging unsuspecting friends on 10-mile hikes, reading, and learning all sorts of percussion.

Lian Xia Rose (she/her)
Lian plays Rihva on Bad Heroes and also substituted in to play Wingthe for several episodes in 2020. When not covered in cats or rock climbing (hopefully not at the same time), she acts as the show’s co-producer, editing wizard and social media manager.

Drea Silvertooth (they/them)
Drea is the GM of Bad Heroes. When not dragging their players through hell (literally), they can be found rescuing difficult but lovable dogs, hunting down the best vegan eats, and writing short stories about soft hearts in unforgiving worlds. Since the birth of this podcast, they can also be found talking to themselves in a rotating cast of character voices and accidentally alarming strangers.

Former Cast

Jake Hoskinson (he/him)
Jake played Wingthe on Bad Heroes. He’s an aspiring author of fantasy fiction and can often be found juggling his many passions, including hiking, photography, video gaming, medieval combat sports, Celtic music, driving people around, and reading whatever he can get his hands on. Jake left the show near the end of 2019 to focus on being a first-time father.
